Water Feature!

The previous owner had installed a little pond, but by the time I bought the property, the pump had been pulled out and the pond boarded over. I would have loved to have a pond with fish in it again, but I have a dog who loves being in water up to her nostrils more than anything else in life, and I didn’t need my house turning into a permanent swamp. So, I opted for what’s called a “pondless waterfall” (or, as one typo in a Google search my sister would have it, a “pointless waterfall,” which is also apt).

While my sister was decompressing here for a couple days before driving back to Minnesota from our annual beach vacation, we recovered the pond, double lined it, bought a new pump, and scavenged rocks from my yard to build this beauty. I love listening to it in the mornings and evenings on the deck!
