Christmas Card Design: Vote!

I like to do papercuts, a practice that came out of a combination of my childhood love of cutting out paper dolls and my adult admiration for woodblock prints (papercuts are WAY easier than woodcuts or linocuts). And for the last however many years, I’ve been doing a papercut for my annual holiday cards.

Last night I was woken up by a fire plane flying over my house in the middle of the night on its way to fight either the Dixie or the Caldor fire (pray for those firefighters!), and for some reason I started thinking about what I wanted to do for my Xmas papercut. I’ve done a carol theme before (see above), and I wanted to do another one this year, but I can’t decide which carol to do. So, please vote for your favorite in the comments.

  1. Lo! How a Rose E’er Blooming
  2. It Came Upon a Midnight Clear
  3. Joy to the World

  1. I am so very late to this voting party—but it’s close between Midnight Clear and Joy to the World for me. I think Midnight Clear edges out Joy to the World by just a bit.
