This is just what I was into this week:
- You guys, ATEEZ has a new album out! I will neither confirm or deny the rumor that I set my alarm for 4 am to watch their live Korean comeback showcase on YouTube. But as usual, my favorite part of the whole campaign was the dance practice video: here’s the one they put out for the title track, “Guerrilla.”
- For the heat, iced Dalgona coffees made with coconut milk. I’ve always thought coffee and coconut go well together. I make my own milk using this recipe–it’s super easy and tastes 100% better than store-bought milk. If you have coconut sugar around, use that as well.
- I have a lot of eggs to use up now that I’ve got 7 hens, so I’ve been making tea eggs. And, I’ve made this recipe for spicy sesame gyeran-jim a couple of times: you can make it in the microwave in a bowl, too–plan about 1.5 minutes on high per egg.
- To eat with the gyeran-jim, or with anything, really–Mogami 8 Blended Whole Grain Rice. Cooks up in my Instant Pot without pre-soaking in 45 minutes.
- I’ve been loving these MochaMilk videos featuring Wooyoo the very fluffy samoyed.
- Bananas have re-entered my life! The starch in fresh bananas has given me horrible stomachaches for years, but I found that if it’s gelatinized (i.e., cooked), I have no problem with it. That got me thinking that freezing might break down the starch as well, so I popped a frozen banana in the blender with 1/2 C blueberries, 1/4 C greek yoghurt, 1 TB almond butter, 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder, and 3/4C coconut milk. Results: 1 awesome smoothie and 0 tummy aches!
