I save things I find that I like and/or that I need more time to read/check out in my Feedly, a news aggregator I described in this post. But my Read Later folder tends to get backed up, and so recently I’ve been going through it watching/reading things and cleaning it out. Here are 10 things I saved that seemed good for the coming fall:
- Beth Kirby’s post on her trip to the Kiso Valley in Japan
- From Serious Eats, a round-up of make-ahead lunches for work/school
- Apple cocktail recipes
- Traditional recipes for a Chinese mid-autumn full-moon viewing dinner party; these are so good. A couple years ago, I cooked this menu, and we ate outside under big paper lanterns and climbed up on the roof to view the moon.
- Parachuting beavers: awesome any time of year
- Same with the Walken closet. Punch it, Richard.
- Atmospheric percussion piece performed on “ringing boulders” in Pennsylvania
- Bardcore: your favorite k-pop (and other pop) songs performed on medieval instruments.
- I highly recommend Monkey Twins if you’re into martial arts films/series: it’s muay thai v. kung fu in Thailand with some nice cultural context.
- Serious people pointing are always better with budgies.
